Like all my plays and screenplays "The Grinder" tackles social issues. How abandonment as a child impacts a person's adulthood, and other questions are put on the table in my latest play. It has inspired the next topic of my radio show Multicultural Moments titled "Abandoned Children: Their pain, Their guilt" on July 7th.
How appropriate that the staged reading of "The Grinder" should take place during Pride Weekend when it mentions the torment suffered by gays before the uprising at Stonewall. The date June 30th was chosen by coincidence...
I am so grateful to the cast I've assembled and thank them all for their time and talent! Today is the day that "The Grinder"debuts!

THE BOTTOM LINE FOR THE TRUE ARTISTE!
"The show must go on!" Many don't realize that that quote does not only pertain to the performance itself but to a whole mindset of a true artist. For to the true artist, all inconveniences are to be transcended for the "work". For it is the "work" that must get done.

LEGENDARY ENTERTAINER AND PAL HAROLD CROMER PASSES OVER
Knew his health was declining and that his priority was to accomplish as much as he could in his last years before this inevitable time. Glad he finally got the recognition he so deserved for all that he contributed to this business called "SHOW". I mentioned him and his fellow hoofers, that I've known Jimmy Slide and Jimmy Sir Slyde Mitchell in the play that I'm now writing "Silk Stockings and a Bible" set during WWII. Wish he would be here to see it... I think he will.
