LET'S DO THIS!!!

I am so ready to mount an historical run of my trilogy, "Women You Thought You Knew", now that all three plays have been workshopped.  It was a monumental feat to not only write all three plays in less than a year, but to have stage readings and workshop productions for all three plays in a year's time.  What was I thinking?  The timeline was insane.  But the deed was done.  I can only imagine how fantastic the full production will be now that I have seen what changes are necessary... I am grateful for all 30 cast members' time and talent in helping me to complete the PROCESS.  Bravo!

CAST MEMBERS ON THE AC LOWE SHOW

So much fun hanging with old friends Anthony Lofaso and Bill Russo on Anthony's radio show, "The AC Lowe Show", last night.  Cast members Tina Moore, who is cast to play the eccentric mom, "Millie Centron", in "A Wound in Time", and who recently made her stage debut in the last play of my trilogy, "Wild Child" in the role of the Afro-Chinese aunt from the Bahamas, "Aunt Muriel"; Stacey Griffin, who starred as the bourgis, "Clinton Williams", in the Off Broadway production and who will reprise the role in the film of "A Wound in Time"; and Jan Mizushima, who played the role of ,"Aunt Carol", in the last play of my trilogy, "Wild Child", joined me on the show.  Take a look at the pics!  You can listen to the show in archive at:AC LOWE SHOW 2/23 AT CITYWORLD RADIO

ANOTHER GOAL FOR 2015 ACHIEVED!

As we approach the workshop production of the final play in my trilogy, I am about to achieve another goal on my "must do" list.  I wanted to find a way to help endangered youth become immersed in the Arts by helping out with my projects, and attending cultural events.  However, another more practical road has opened which will help me achieve the same goal of giving back and making a difference to help empower through the Arts, as a volunteer at Castillo Theatre All Stars Project/Talent Show.  I will be sharing my experience in future productions. I'm so excited!

THE FEATURE FILM VERSION OF MY STAGE PLAY "A WOUND IN TIME" IS GETTING SET TO GO!

Met with my very nice, and talented Cinematographer, Nicola Raggi, yesterday to go over the script and create the Shot List.  He is a true artist, and detail oriented to ensure that the look of this film is just right.  I appreciate how serious he is about his craft.  I also met some of the cast members to give them their daily sides for our first day of shooting.  Of course, I usually manage to pull things off with little or no money...  I'm a Native New Yorker, and thus it is a trait I inherited.  With determination, and with the support and faith of others I will make it happen!  WE will make it happen!  The fundraiser will be held in April, which is after we begin filming.  So it looks like we may have footage to show at the fundraiser while our guests dance away!

WINDING DOWN A BUSY WEEK OF REHEARSALS AND MEETINGS!

So excited seeing, "Wild Child", slowly come to life. The characters are emerging organically, ensuring a lovely show.  It's been a long journey for the last play of the trilogy, performance delayed awaiting my scripting in a new character.  Since we were having the workshop in February we decided on a week to coincide with the Chinese New Year.  There will be a little Chinese New Year party favor and some Plum Wine for the occasion.

As I always like to tackle social issues and share little know history in my work, the history of the Chinese presence in the Caribbean will also be shared in this work.
